7 Submission Guidelines
Definition: Blog
A "Blog" (short for "Weblog"), aka "web journal", is a frequently published "Diary Style" web page or site with each "dated" new entry appearing at the top, and older entries moving down the page in reverse chronological order.
By "Frequently Published" I mean: At least one or more posts or entries must be made to your blog every two weeks or less.
Based on the above definitions...
1. Getblogs.com is a blog search engine and directory. Please submit only blogs or blogging related resources. Submissions of regular web sites or pages will be rejected.
2. Getblogs.com's directory listings are supplemented by the Open Directory Project. If your blog is listed in the ODP, chances are it's listed here as well. Go to our Main Page and do a search for your own blog before submitting to GetBlogs.com. See submission guideline # 3 below...
3. Duplicate submissions of the same blog to a single category or different categories is not allowed. However, if you have more than one blog, feel free to submit as many as you want to the proper categories.
4. Blogs containing adult content should be submitted to the proper category: Arts & Entertainment Blogs > Adult Blogs. However, please do not use sexually explicit or foul language in the title or description of your submissions to GetBlogs.com. All submissions are reviewed by an actual person. Any questionable language that will eventually be posted on this site will be edited.
In other words - Do not submit any language you would not want your own 8 year old child to read if they visited this site. The nature of the content on your own blog is your business. The nature of the content on this site is mine.
5. Submitting blatent ads or blogs containing nothing but affiliate links is not allowed. There must be some sort of frequently updated content on your blog in order for it to be accepted. Blogs that talk about business, marketing, products, etc. are ok. Blogs full of product descriptions, order buttons or links, or blatent salesletters and ads are not.
6. Reciprocal linking to GetBlogs.com is encouraged but not required. Blogs that link back to us are usually added faster. Blogs that do not link back may take up to 2 weeks to be listed.
7. Please follow the submission guidelines above ;-)
How To Add Your Blog To The Directory
1. Go to the Main Page of GetBlogs.com and click on the category that best describes the theme of your blog. Check for sub-categories and click the appropriate one you wish to submit your blog to.
2. At the lower right hand side of that page, you'll see an "Add Your Site" link. Click on it and you'll be taken to the submission form for that category.
3. Fill out the form with your blogs information. Make sure your blogs URL is correct and you use a real email address. When the submission form is filled out, click the submit button only once.

TIP: GetBlogs.com uses a powerful search engine to find your listing in the database when someone performs a search. Use the best keyword or phrase you'd like people to find your blog with once in your title, and once or twice in your description.
4. After submitting the form, check your email. You will recieve an automatic confirmation email containing a link that you must use to confirm your submission. You'll then be taken to a confirmation page with information on how to provide a reciprocal link back to us if you wish.
5. If you provide a link back to us on your blog, your listing will be added to the blog directory as soon as possible. No link back and it could take up to 2 weeks for your blog to be listed.

We have no control over the content on the sites listed here and cannot be held responsible or liable for any damages that may be incurred by visiting the sites in our database.
Nor can we be held responsible or liable if for any reason your link is not available to the public due to database failure, server downtime, problems with the site, etc.
All submissions are reviewd by a real person. We reserve the right to edit, move, remove and/or reject any listing submitted to, or contained in our database at any time, at our sole descretion.
